Project Name: Brunswick High School Replacement
Location: 101 Cummings Drive, Brunswick, MD
Project Goal: The existing Brunswick High School is located on 48 acres that is part of a 77.7-acre campus shared with Brunswick Middle School. The building is approximately 166,000 gross square feet serving students in grades nine through twelve. It was constructed in 1965 with additions in 1979, 1983, and 1993. The state-rated capacity of the current school is 928 students. Following a 2019 feasibility study, the Frederick County Public Schools Board of Education (BOE) approved the replacement of Brunswick High School with a new school to serve the capacity needs of 998 students and current program, energy, mechanical, electrical, building code, IT, and Accessibility requirements. This replacement Project includes site assessment, design, and construction of the high school on the existing campus.
