Project Name: Linganore Creek Elementary School
Location: 5680 Mussetter Road, New Market, MD 21774
Project Goal: Linganore Creek Elementary School (LCES) (formerly referred to as Elementary School #41) will be built at the intersection of Mussetter Road and Whiterose Drive near Route 144. The design accommodates a state-rated capacity of 882 students and has been adapted to meet the sloping site conditions using an FCPS prototype school design. LCES is being designed by SEA Architects and the construction manager overseeing the project is Whiting Turner. LCES will be designed for energy efficiency and meet the USGBC LEED Silver design requirements; will meet all current local building codes of the authorities having jurisdiction and the FCPS Educational Program Specifications; and design/construction will be performed in accordance with the State of Maryland IAC/PSCP guildelines and DGS requirements.
