Build Your Own Program
In partnership with Human Resources, the Build Your Own Program is designed to offer professional learning and training opportunities to support career ladder advancement for FCPS ESPs.
Current Offerings:
- Build Your Own Secretary Cohort: Professional learning opportunity designed for current support staff that desire building their skills and capacity for possible promotional opportunities. Micro-credentialing opportunities also available.
- Supporting Classrooms as an Instructional Support Staff Member: The Department of Leadership and Organizational Development, in collaboration with the Department of Special Education and Student Services, is excited to offer Supporting Classrooms as an Instructional Support Staff Member Professional Learning Program. This two-year program is designed for substitutes, resident substitutes, long-term substitutes, instructional assistants, and special education instructional assistants.
Participants will learn ways to create a thriving classroom environment with strategies that focus on building strong relationships, effective instruction, and proactive classroom management. Learn how to address behavior concerns using SEL and de-escalation techniques—all while capturing meaningful data to support student success.
Participants who successfully complete Year One and Year Two are eligible to participate in the Supporting Classrooms Micro-Credential. Please contact Andrea Morgan for more information.
ELITE Agility Program
The ELITE Agility program is a multi-phase leadership development program designed specifically for aspiring leaders in the Business Services Group (BSG). Rooted in the principles of servant leadership, coaching, and innovation, ELITE Agility develops the mindset and skills needed to lead with impact, strengthen organizational culture, and drive excellence across FCPS.
