Frederick County Public Schools

Frederick County Public Schools’ Department of Capital Programs utilizes Esri’s ArcGIS products to maintain the Geographic Information System (GIS) for FCPS. GIS software and data are used to manage, display, and analyze spatial data relating to FCPS facilities, school attendance areas, and student information.

FCPS collaborates with Frederick County GIS (under Frederick County Government’s Interagency Information Technologies (IIT) Division) to obtain non FCPS-owned data, such as addresses, roads, and other countywide data. Frederick County GIS hosts the School Finder website that enables families and staff to look up school attendance areas based on home address.

FCPS staff members requesting GIS services may email [email protected] with any mapping requests. The ability to meet requests depends on the nature of the request, available data sources, and the availability of our GIS staff member.
