Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) is committed to transparency in school system operations and providing public access to FCPS records in accordance with the Maryland Public Information Act (MPIA).
The MPIA gives members of the public the right to inspect or obtain copies of public records maintained by state and local government agencies, including public school systems, subject to applicable laws and exemptions. Certain records, or portions of records, may be exempt from disclosure under federal or state law.

Submit or Track a Request
To submit a request for FCPS records, please use the JustFOIA portal. Requests may also be submitted verbally or by personal delivery, mail, facsimile, or email. Requests received through these methods will be entered into the JustFOIA portal by FCPS staff for processing.
